Brown, Richardson & Rowe collaborated with Imai Keller Moore Architects to renovate Market Square Park at Mashpee Commons. The owner, Mashpee Commons LTD, wanted to provide outdoor seating for a restaurant, a granite fountain, and public areas with seating and planting for the enjoyment of residents and visitors at an adjacent mixed-use development with housing, designed according to the principles of “new urbanism.” Brown Richardson & Rowe designed the space to accommodate these features. We coordinated with Greenscape, Mashpee LTD., Cold Spring granite, and Atlantic Fountain in the design of the Academy Black granite fountain.
Visitors now enjoy the square as they sit at cafe tables or on seat walls in the shade of new trees.
