Brookline, MA

This historic wildlife sanctuary in bustling Brookline was once owned by Minna Hall who co-founded the Massachusetts Audubon Society along with Harriet Hemingway in 1896. The City of Brookline restored the overgrown habitat in 1995. Brown, Richardson & Rowe and ENSR designed a boardwalk through the sanctuary, drainage systems to divert storm water from Halls Pond, and specified wetland plants along the newly restored pond edge.
