For the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Brown, Richardson and Rowe designed safe pedestrian, barrier-free access to the station and platforms at the Charles Street/MGH and Government Center T-stations. BR&R also revised the confusing pedestrian system surrounding the station in a way that is acceptable to the residents of Beacon Hill, one of Boston's most beautiful and historic neighborhoods.
