The Larz Anderson Bridge, located between two parkways within the historic Charles River Basin is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Brown, Richardson & Rowe is contributing our experience, gained on three other historic parkway projects, to the FST team. Many motorist, bicyclist and pedestrians use the bridge to get from Harvard Square to Storrow Drive, Harvard Business School, the football stadium, athletic fields and Allston. Brown, Richardson & Rowe will work with FST to improve pedestrian and bicycle connections to and from the bridge. We are also identifying character defining features and protecting the historic features that imbue these two parkways with their historic character. We have prepared a tree inventory that includes the location, size and species of the trees near each end of the bridge.
